At Intellecap, he oversees financial modeling, equity valuations, business planning, and strategic advisory engagements. Anurag gained valuable experience with
ICICI Bank prior to joining Intellecap.
He has a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Commerce Degree from Madras University, Chennai (India), and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal (India).
If Anurag wasn’t doing Microfinance he would be a sportsman. Besides sports, he enjoys travel and he is a voracious reader.

Philip Vassiliou,

Philip Vassiliou is a Managing Director at Legatum and a board member of the Ubuntu Education Fund. Philip has held positions in both Group Investments and Sovereign Global Development at Legatum’s predecessor, Sovereign Global. [More]
Prior to joining Sovereign Global, Philip worked for the Dubai Development Investment Authority (
DDIA), promoting foreign direct investment in Dubai. Before the
DDIA, Philip was with the Equities and Private Wealth divisions of Goldman Sachs International in both New York and London.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Finance and Economics from Babson College, Wellesley in Massachusetts (
USA).

Ulhas Deshpande,

He has worked in healthcare, fast moving consumer goods (
FMCG), banking and financial services, information technology enabled services (
ITES), and business process outsourcing (
BPO).
He started Adventity
BPO India Private Limited, a venture funded company, where he was Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Adventity, Ulhas worked as the Head of Human Resources for
IDBI Bank, with American International Group in India in the financial sector domain, and with Glaxo, Novartis, and Parke Davis in the consumer care sector, all in senior human resource positions.
Ulhas enjoys spending his free-time trekking in the mountains.

He is the Co-Founder of Aavishkaar and its related companies as well as the Co-Founder of Rural Innovations Network, a Chennai-based non-profit that creates networks for rural innovations.
Vineet is on the advisory board of Lemelson Recognition and Mentoring Program at
IIT Chennai and a member of the Joint Task Force of the Uttaranchal Government on Social Venture Capital. Vineet has been awarded the Ashoka Fellowship in recognition of his contribution to the field of social entrepreneurship and Life Membership by the
XLRI Alumni Association. He has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management (
IIFM), Bhopal, India.
Vineet loves experiencing the thrill of the road in India. He also enjoys online chess and watching a good game of cricket.

Pawan has been involved in building and scaling early-stage ventures: first as a venture capital investor in his early career with GVFL and McKenna Capital and, since then, as an entrepreneur with Parsec Interact, Intellecap, and cKinetics.[More]
He serves on the boards of many Indo-US enterprises and continues to advise a number of companies in Asia and the US. He is also actively involved with and serving on the US board of the Give Foundation (www.GiveIndia.org), the largest online non-profit exchange connecting donors with projects in India.
Pawan has a Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Pawan enjoys long-distance running and meeting real-world heroes. His most precious moments are spent re-learning the finer truths of life from his children.

Swati co-founded ‘Santushti,’ a
NGO in Uttaranchal working on health and education issues. She also had a brief work stint with Honey Bee Network at
IIMA. Swati brought valuable experience of knowledge management and cross border interactions to Intellecap.
Swati holds an
MBA from Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal. Swati served on the Board of Intellecap as a Director till 2007 and has not been operationally involved with the company since.

Upendra Bhatt,

Upendra, fondly known as UB has over 15 years of industry leading experience in building sales organizations and charting out strategic international expansion for companies across several verticals.[More]
In the early years of his career, UB held a multitude of sales, corporate development, strategic planning, and hands-on project management roles at Fortune 500 companies, specifically Itochu and Skanska AB, where he was particularly successful in establishing their South Asian businesses through several cross-border joint ventures. UB also serves on the US Board of the Give Foundation (www.giveindia.org).
He has a Masters in International Relations from Thunderbird – The American Graduate School of International Management, a Master of Business Administration from
NMIMS-Mumbai, (India) and an engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering,(India).
UB is an avid traveler and explorer of new cultures. His passion is social institution building and public affairs.
