Intellecap Impact Investment Network (I3N)
Intellecap launched the Intellecap Impact Investment Network in September 2011.
I3N is India’s first angel investment network that aims to facilitate investments in early stage enterprises that generate financial returns while also demonstrating a clear social and/or environmental impact.
I3N uses its feet-on-the-ground and initiatives such as Sankalp Forum to bring to its members a rich and carefully vetted deal pipeline of enterprises looking for investments up to USD 1Mn across five diversified sectors of Healthcare, Education, Clean Energy, Financial Inclusion and Agri/Rural Businesses.
Currently there are few avenues in India for pre venture capital funding and capacity building for these enterprises. I3N is addressing this gap by creating a strong community of experienced angel investors that can invest in and provide support to young enterprises and entrepreneurs. The platform also eases concerns of early stage investing by leveraging Intellecap’s entire ecosystem to provide facilities such as incubation and debt to the enterprises as well as facilitate post investment monitoring and support.
I3N currently has on board over 20 high net-worth individual and institutional members. Members include Toniic, which is a global impact investment network having over 40 members across US and UK.
