Intellecap’s Circular Apparel Innovation Factory (CAIF) launches its online platform – CircularApparel.co
The Circular Apparel Innovation Factory (CAIF) today announced the launch of its digital platform for stakeholders in the textile and apparel industry. CAIF is an industry initiative by Intellecap, launched in July 2018 with DOEN Foundation as a founding partner. The initiative has been working on creating an ecosystem to search, seed, support, and scale circular textile and apparel innovations in India.
The fashion industry is the 2nd most polluting industry globally and the current systems in the textile and fashion industry were designed at a time when productivity and profit were the focus. Bringing environment and sustainability into the equation requires systematic and on demand innovation. Hence, CAIF built CircularApparel.co, a digital hub for the industry to collectively share insights, capabilities and innovate for a circular apparel and textile economy.
Some of the key objectives the platform aims to help the industry achieve are:
– Grow their network and understanding of circular fashion with relevant and like-minded professionals from over 45 countries
– Advance the fashion businesses’ innovation capabilities with the Open Innovation Services and Curated Network of Innovators
– Stay up to date with, participate in and join all the events and initiatives driving circular fashion globally
Since its launch, Intellecap’s Circular Apparel Innovation Factory (CAIF) has engaged with over 200 stakeholders including brands, retailers, manufacturers and entrepreneurs in the textile and apparel value chain.
While DOEN Foundation continues to support the initiative, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (ABFRL) has recently joined the Circular Apparel Innovation Factory (CAIF) as an anchor partner.
