Kavya has 7 years of experience in consulting focused on market and policy research, landscape studies, enterprise development support and monitoring and evaluation across the sectors of renewable energy, climate change, natural resource management, and livelihoods. She has worked with a diverse set of clients including multilaterals and foundations such as The World Bank, FCDO, UNDP, UNICEF, SDC, GIZ, Signify Foundation, Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation across South Asia, South-East Asia and Africa.
At Intellecap, she is currently providing market and investment readiness support to multiple clean energy enterprises deploying innovative technologies across Asia and Africa. She is actively engaged in conducting market and policy research on development of voluntary and compliance-based carbon markets. She has also undertaken various research assignments focused on market assessments and sizing, strategy design and development, and policy mapping and review in the clean energy and climate change sector.
Prior to this, at IPE Global Limited, she was responsible for business development, program management and implementation, public financial management, policy research and monitoring and evaluation in the sectors of natural resource management, climate change and social protection across Asia and Africa. Kavya has also worked with an agribusiness consulting firm, Indian Agribusiness Systems Pvt Ltd, wherein she conducted quantitative and qualitative data analysis for evaluation projects in India.
Kavya holds a MA in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and a BA (Hons) in Economics from University of Delhi.
